Abstract

Objective: To develop and validate a game aimed at guiding healthcare professionals on the safety of hospitalized patients. Methods: The development of the game “Patient Safety” followed four stages:Stage 1 – Analysis: An integrative literature review was conducted using health science databases: PubMed, LILACS, and the SciELO virtual library.Stage 2 – Design: This stage involved planning and producing educational content, as well as designing the game screens.Stage 3 – Development: The navigation structure was defined, and the configuration of interactive environments was planned.Stage 4 – Implementation: Educational technological tools and resources were configured, and an online platform was created for downloading the application. Results: The “Patient Safety” game consists of 23 screens featuring closed-ended and multiple-choice questions. The Content Validity Index (CVI) ranged from 79.63% to 100.00% in the first evaluation; in the second evaluation cycle, the CVI reached 100.00%. Conclusion: Following an integrative literature review, the “Patient Safety” game was developed and underwent content validation by experienced professionals in the field. The results of the second evaluation revealed strong agreement among the judges, characterizing the game as having excellent content quality.
