Abstract

This article presents the results of a perception survey conducted among residents of Bogotá regarding the 2016 peace agreement between the Colombian state and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) guerrilla movement. It has two objectives: to evaluate the state's peace policy, whose pact with the FARC is currently being implemented and whose consequences can be assessed, through citizen perceptions; and to interpret and discuss the population's views on the agreement and its repercussions, contrasting their opinions with objective data. The research employed a quantitative methodology, using data collected through a statistically representative survey and examined using analytical and dialectical methods. Among the findings were significant disparities in the assessment of the agreement's implementation, with judgments sometimes accurate and at other times biased. All of this highlight’s multiple shortcomings of the state.
