Replication Data for: How Do Women and Men Respond to More Women in the Legislature? A Study of Bill Introductions and Effectiveness (Political Research Quarterly)
Abstract
In this paper, I examine the impact of having more women in state legislatures on the behavior of women and men state legislators. This is in terms of the number of bills they introduce, the number of bills they contribute to (through a combination of primary and co sponsorship) and their state legislative effectiveness scores. I use data from 2017 to 2022 in all state legislatures. Included are the code and data needed to replicate the results in the main text of the paper.
