Abstract

India State and District Evolution Database (ISDED) is an original contribution curated by the India State Story Team (Jolad & India State Story team, 2025) through the digitisation of the Administrative Atlas of India (1872-2011), supplemented by data from Census reports, Survey of India maps, Imperial/Provincial Gazetteers, state databases, government websites, and extant scholarship on state formation.
