Replication Data for: Habeas Corpus: An exploration of authentic embodiment and ecology in a French contrastive corpus.

This Dataverse repository contains the data and replication materials for the study of 1SG je-centric lexical co-occurrence and linear-distance analysis in a French corpus for the article Habeas Corpus: An exploration of authentic embodiment and ecology in a French contrastive corpus (Burnett, 2026). Appendix I provides the anonymised study raw data (.xlsx). Appendix II contains the Python script for post-TXM tokenization and generation of linear-distance boxplot outputs. Appendix III contains the Python script implementing Mann–Whitney U statistical tests. To ensure valid non-parametric comparison across subcorpora of unequal size, the script applies controlled downsampling prior to statistical testing. The scripts are designed for transparent, reproducible analysis and can be adapted for use with other French-language corpora. Users are welcome to modify or extend the code with appropriate citation.
