Abstract

Three tables display estimated numbers of annual exports of African captives for 1441-1521 (to Old World destinations), 1541-1580 (to Old World and New World destinations), and1601-1640 (to New World destinations), to demonstrate the increasing size and changing direction of captive flows over time.
