Abstract

X-ray diffraction raw data for clays collected at Climax Canyon K-Pg locality, Raton Basin, New Mexico, USA. The data forms part of a study on spherules from the K-Pg boundary, providing mineralogical characterisation of clay layers at Climax Canyon. Four datasets refer to the boundary clay (ClimaxC and ClimaxC_rust), as well as material from above and below the boundary. The data will be presented in a thesis (by M. Boyd) and a manuscript (in preparation, led by the M. Boyd). Values are counts at a given scattering angle (2 theta), which can be used to form an XRD pattern.
