Public Awareness About Animal Health Problems Caused By Improper Waste Management
Abstract
Improper waste management is becoming a common problem and it is affecting animals very badly. When garbage is thrown in open places and not managed properly, it pollutes water, air, and soil. Stray animals like cows and dogs search for food in these waste areas and they eat plastic, rotten food, and harmful chemicals by mistake. This causes many health problems such as stomach blockage, infections, breathing problems, weakness, and sometimes death. Open dumping places also attract rats, flies, and other pests that spread diseases among animals. Gautam Buddh Nagar is a fast-growing district where many people produce large amounts of household, market, and farm waste. Much of this waste is not properly managed, which increases the risk to local animals. Despite this, many residents are unaware of the harmful effects of improper waste disposal on animal health. This study aims to assess public awareness regarding these issues in Gautam Buddh Nagar. The findings will help plan awareness programs and activities and suggest better waste management practices to protect animal health and improve the overall environment This study highlights the importance of understanding public awareness about improper waste management and its impact on animal health. By identifying existing practices and awareness levels, the study highlights the need for responsible waste disposal and improved awareness to reduce animal health problems and promote a cleaner and safer environment.
