PRODUCTION EFFICIENCY OF THE SECTORS - AGRICULTURE, FORESTRY AND FISHERIES (A), HOTEL MANAGEMENT (I 55) AND RESTAURANT BUSINESS (I 56) IN THE SOUTH-CENTRAL REGION 2010 – 2023
Abstract
The study is aimed at determining the coefficient of Production Efficiency (PE) of some of the socio-economic sectors in the South-Central Region (SCR) for the period 2010 - 2023, namely: Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (A), Hotel Industry (I 55) and Restaurant Industry (I 56), the last two being combined into one sector (I). The study and analysis of PE of some of the sectors according to the classification of CEA - 2008 in the above-mentioned territories apply statistical, mathematical and economic tools, which make it possible to visualize the activities located in the districts at the NUTS 3 level, their socio-economic growth, and the relationships between them. The scientific paper attempts to distinguish between “social" and "economic" efficiency based on a sectoral study by districts in the region.
