Effectiveness of Digital Health Interventions on Behavior Change in Preconception Care: A Scoping Review
Abstract
Japan faces growing challenges in maternal and child health, including declining birthrates, delayed pregnancies, and mental health issues among women of reproductive age. To promote healthier pregnancies and outcomes, preconception care has been emphasized in national policy. Digital health technologies—such as mobile apps and online platforms—offer new opportunities for behavior change in preconception care by providing personalized, accessible interventions. This scoping review aims to map the existing evidence on the effectiveness of digital health interventions in promoting behavior change among women in the preconception period.
