Evaluation der Tragflügelprofile eines Morphingflügels für ein Segelflugzeug durch strukturelle und aerodynamische Simulationen und experimentelle Validierung
Abstract
The aerodynamic performance of sailplanes can be improved by a wing design featuring a morphing forward section, enabling higher lift-to-drag ratios at high airspeeds. This thesis investigates the shapes and aerodynamic performance of elastically deformed airfoils for a novel morphing sailplane concept in fast- and slow-flight configurations. In addition to structural and aerodynamic simulations, validation experiments are conducted on a demonstrator wing segment. The analysis considers wing bending that is representative of relevant flight conditions.
