Abstract

This doctoral thesis presents economic control strategies for wind and hybrid systems. Methods are developed to maximize net economic value by considering interactions between different system hierarchies. The value assessment is carried out in three stages: estimation, optimization, and integration. The developed methods are implemented and evaluated in realistic setups and compared with reference methods.
