Abstract

Momentum correlations (femtoscopy) between protons and pions are used to study the particle emission process in high-energy proton-proton (pp) collisions and the dynamics of short-lived Delta resonances. The latter also appear in deuteron-pion correlations, revealing that deuterons are mainly formed through nuclear fusion processes in high-energy pp collisions. Lastly, three-particle systems of proton-proton-pion are investigated for effects beyond pair-wise interactions.
