Abstract

Objective: Identify the impact of hiring women on organizational performance indicators of companies in central Valle del Cauca, Colombia.Materials and method: Uses ordinary least squares (OLS) regressions and analyzing metrics such as revenues, return on assets (ROA) and return on equity (ROE) in 457 companies, applying logarithms to variables such as revenues, capital, employees and hiring of women to eliminate discrepancies in units of measurement. Results: The results reveal significant relationships between the independent variables (logarithm of assets, logarithm of employees and logarithm of women hired) and the dependent variables (revenue, ROA, ROE), likewise, it is observed that the logarithm of women hired shows a positive and significant effect on revenue, suggesting that a higher hiring of women is related to higher corporate revenuesConclusions: The inclusion of women in the work environment is positively related to the financial performance of organizations so it allows us to reflect on the participation of women and the benefits it brings to organizations.
