Hacia una semiótica transindividual del valor desde Peirce, von Uexküll y Simondon
Abstract
This article proposes a theoretical-conceptual model of value from a semiotic, biosemiotic, and transindividual perspective. It reinterprets the notion of semiosis (Peirce) through the lens of Umwelt (Von Uexküll) to frame value as an emergent property of semiotic activity within vital and ecological dimensions. Building on Simondon’s concept of “the transindividual”, it extends this framework to explore how value operates across psychosocial and socio-technical processes. After examining key definitions of “value” in linguistics, semiotics, rhetoric, and discourse analysis, the article defines value as an emergent dimension formed at the intersection of oriented relations, individuation processes, and transindividual networks. This notion aims to integrate some of the most relevant meanings of “value” in semiotic and discourse studies, providing a way to explain how signs, objects, discourses, or devices acquire the capacity to modulate interpretation, action, or organization across various levels of integration.
