SPECTER: Temporal Correlation Between Micro-Seismic Activity and Anomalous Experience Reports
Abstract
Analysis of 1,904 geocoded anomalous experience reports from Portland, OR and San Francisco, CA against USGS seismic records. Report frequency was 3.4x higher (Portland) and 8.3x higher (San Francisco) during seismically active periods (p < 0.0001). Reports peaked 1-2 days following imperceptible micro-earthquakes (M1.0-2.0). Effect strength scaled with regional seismicity. Replicates and extends Persinger's tectonic strain theory using modern methods. Contains: Analysis scripts, data outputs, publication figures, methodology documentation.
