Abstract

Biodiversity is threatened by land-use changes and climate change. Landscape destruction and fragmentation reduce available habitats, while climate change intensifies these threats. This study examined the potential distribution of 29 biotopes in Bavaria, analysing their conservation and restoration potential and the impact of climate change. The results indicate high potential, but climate change poses risks to many biotopes, requiring adaptive strategies.
