Abstract

This project contains the processed biomechanical data and analysis scripts associated with the study “Altered Joint Power Distribution During Cycling in Knee Osteoarthritis: Effects of Cadence and Power Output” handed in as an Abstract for the ISBS 2026 conference in Loughborough (UK). The dataset includes lower-limb joint power contributions (hip, knee, ankle) during cycling at multiple cadences (60, 80, 100 rpm) and external power outputs (157, 210, 261 W) in individuals with knee osteoarthritis (KOA) and age-matched healthy controls. Joint powers were computed using inverse kinematics and inverse dynamics based on motion capture and instrumented pedal force data, and expressed as relative contributions to total lower-limb power.
