Abstract

This project aims to develop new performance indicators (KPIs) for the hospitality industry, designed to go beyond traditional operational metrics. The objective is to enable deeper, more meaningful analysis of hotel performance by integrating emerging strategic topics such as sustainability, energy efficiency, water management, and responsible operations. These KPIs are intended to support hotel owners, operators, and investors in better decision-making by combining operational efficiency with environmental and long-term value creation perspectives. The project is conducted in collaboration with hospitality professionals and industry experts who contribute their field experience, operational knowledge, and analytical insights. These experts are also involved in the hospitality platform supporting this initiative, which serves as a central resource for applied research and practical guidance.
