Educomunicação e as barreiras no acesso ao benefício de prestação continuada (BPC) para crianças com deficiência
Abstract
This study aims to analyze how educommunication can serve as a strategic tool to address the barriers faced by families of children with disabilities in accessing the Continuous Cash Benefit (BPC). This is a qualitative research of documentary and bibliographic nature, based on the analysis of legislation, institutional manuals of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS), official reports, and academic studies on public policies, disability, and educommunication. The results indicate that the main barriers to access the BPC are the lack of clear and accessible information, bureaucratic complexity, difficulties in using digital channels, and indirect costs associated with legal guidance. It is concluded that, through educational campaigns, training of public agents, accessible media, and community engagement, educommunication contributes to reducing informational gaps and empowering families in the defense of their rights, thus representing a relevant strategy for promoting social inclusion and citizenship.
