Wisselwerking tussen optische krachten en spectroscopie: naar functionele optische materie
Abstract
Understanding the interplay between optical forces and spectroscopy is essential for advancing both fundamental and applied photonics. Optical forces describe how light manipulates matter by mechanical actions such as trapping, pushing, or binding, while spectroscopic properties reveal how matter responds to light through its absorption, emission, and scattering behaviors. Together, they represent two complementary aspects of light-matter interaction: one reflects the mechanical effect of light on materials, and the other capturing the optical response. Their mutual influence governs diverse phenomena, from nanoparticle assembly and optical trapping to structural reconfiguration at the micro- and nanoscale. Investigating this coupling enhances our understanding of light-matter interactions and supports the development of responsive, reconfigurable photonic materials. The studies systematically explore this coupling through different material systems to elucidate the interrelation between optical forces and spectroscopic properties.
