Antipsychotic discontinuation before and during pregnancy and severe psychiatric relapse in the perinatal period: A propensity-score matched cohort in Denmark and Sweden
Abstract
It remains unknown whether antipsychotics are effective in pregnant women. We plan to conduct a propensity-score matched study in Denmark and Sweden to examine whether the risk of a severe psychiatric relapse during the perinatal period (i.e., pregnancy and within 3 months after delivery) associated with continuing antipsychotic treatment during pregnancy.
