Abstract

This study analyzes 200 Colombian rock songs as a communication tool for youth in the 1990s. Using Armando Silva’s questionnaire, it identifies urban and social imaginaries within the lyrics, highlighting expressions of freedom, protest, and everyday life. The research offers insights into the lived experiences of a generation and the sociopolitical realities of Colombia in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
