Reggaetón, neas, y otros flujos de resignificación
Abstract
This article explores reggaetón as a form of cultural resistance against hegemonic norms. It examines its role in shaping aesthetic identities, particularly the Colombian “nea” style, rooted in urban fashion, street art, and alternative music. The study also addresses how elites appropriate reggaetón’s elements, raising questions about authenticity and symbolic control. Through literature review, it reflects on reggaetón as both a site of empowerment and a contested cultural terrain.
