Los imaginarios duales del agua: de las aguas de la DANA a las aguas salutíferas
Abstract
On October 29, we remembered in Spain the terrible storm dana (cut off low pressure system). A year earlier, it caused the death of at least 237 people, leaving behind a Dantesque landscape and a shocked society. These devastating waters evoke realities and mysteries –the Culture of Water in its fullness. With this beautiful article by Professor Eloy Martos, an undisputed reference in studies on water imaginaries, this article seeks to pay tribute to all those who suffered (and still suffer) directly from this destructive force of nature. At the same time, it hopes to find reconciliation with these waters, their environments, and the reasons behind certain events– the reason for the continuous need to respect this rich and precious element. An indispensable element for life, which would not be so fearsome if it were truly respected in all its reality, and managed appropriately. From here, we extend our deepest solidarity to all those who were and are victims of this tragic event in our recent history.
