De la tradición religiosa a la deconstrucción herética: una exploración a los rostros del fantasma
Abstract
This article offers a conceptual retrospective on the idea of the ghost, or ánima, as conceived in Colombian folklore. It explores the contrast between knowledge within oral tradition and Catholicism —whose the main sources are the researcher’s grandmother and Guzmán Almagro’s iconographic study, 2017)— with philosophical reflections on the anadiómenon in the imagery (Didi-Huberman, 2015) alongside the literary disagreements between Margarita and her ghost (de Francisco Bejarano, 2001). Ultimately, the article weaves a bridge between canonical and apocryphal forms of knowledge about the ánima, which in turn allows for a more panoramic understanding of this figure. This article is a concise excerpt from Chapter II of the master’s thesis “Animagorías: A Study of Everyday Ghosts through Fictional Short Films”, in which an audiovisual triptych gives space for the ghost to unleash its narrative possibilities within the most ordinary plots and settings
