Abstract

This thesis investigates diagnostics and characterization of ORR catalysts in PEMFCs across three projects: optimizing Fe-based PGM-free CCLs and studying their degradation via in situ EIS and XAS; examining the stability of PtxY/C alloys under voltage-cycling ASTs; and developing in situ current-controlled diagnostics to assess MEAs in (short-)stack testing.
