The article notes the need to form social competence of future teachers, as it ensures interaction and communication between people. Successful foreign language communication is not possible without formed social competence. The formation of social competence is directly related to the development of professional competence of the future teacher. The importance of a personality-oriented approach to the formation of communicative skills in the main types of speech activity in the process of learning a foreign language is noted.
