Cortical Prioritization of Threat: Valence or Visual Salience?
Abstract
This study employs an SSVEP-EEG paradigm to examine cortical responses in occipito-temporal regions during facial expression categorization under varying temporal constraints. The aim is to determine whether the cortical “high-road” of visual processing is preferentially tuned to threat-related signals.
