Abstract

The Child to a Healthier Weight (Kind naar Gezond Gewicht, KnGG) network approach supports children with obesity and their families in sustainable lifestyle changes, through a network of healthcare and social service professionals. To optimally support national rollout process and outcome indicators are needed for a system evaluation of the provision and reach of this integrated network approach for children with obesity and their families. Indicators to evaluate local reach, implementation, and impact of the KnGG network approach will be included from the perspective of users, providers (professionals delivering care to children/adolescents with obesity), and implementers (professionals working in policy), with Amsterdam region as starting point, while using an extended case method. To this end, we will develop a 360° impact monitor and a suitable implementation strategy for long-term monitoring on a larger scale.
