Medidas del riesgo sistemático: una visión bibliométrica
Abstract
Objective: To analyze scientific trends on measures of systematic risk through a bibliometric study that identifies authors, countries, thematic clusters and emerging lines of research. Design/Methodology/Approach: A quantitative, exploratory approach was used, with bibliometric analysis of 313 articles indexed in Scopus (1974-2024), applying performance indicators, science mapping and network analysis, supported by Bibliometrix (RStudio) and Tree of Science tools. Results/Discussion: The findings show a sustained growth of publications since 2012, with leadership of countries such as China and the United States. Three conceptual clusters are identified: (i) financial risk measurement and management, (ii) financial stability and systemic risk, and (iii) theoretical asset pricing models. In addition, the topics evolved from a CAPM and beta-centric view to more complex metrics including tail risk, emerging risks and sectoral applications. Network analysis revealed seminal authors such as Markowitz, Sharpe and Fama, as well as new lines of research on risks in Islamic portfolios, annuities and reinsurance. Conclusions: The literature on systematic risk measures has transitioned from classical models to multivariate and dynamic approaches, integrating tools for practical risk management in complex and globalized financial contexts. Originality/Value: The article provides a comprehensive and systematic overview of the scientific evolution of systematic risk, highlighting opportunities for future research and applications in corporate finance.
