Haka: Unity, Pride, Respect
Abstract
REFLECTIVE MEMO:In this paper I describe the importance of the Haka.This unique ritual is not only special through its performance, but it also promotes acceptance of all other cultures and extreme unity, pride, and respect.This essay does not have many statistics or data, yet it is not needed because it would not strengthen my point any more than the personal accounts.The Haka is truly an extraordinary part of the Māori culture and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing about it!
