Esineiden internetin mahdollistaman data-analytiikan rooli uusiutuvien energiajärjestelmien optimoinnissa
Abstract
Electrical power production and transmission are facing challenges due to variability, uncertainty and technical characteristics introduced by the integration of renewable energy systems. This thesis explores how data-analytics and the Internet of Things (IoT) may be utilized to answer to these challenges. Literature review is utilized to first establish the challenges and technologies, after which analysis is conducted on the impact of increased data collection capabilities through IoT sensing. The results demonstrate the role that IoT enabled data-analysis plays in optimizing renewable energy systems is crucial. In conclusion, the integration of large-scale renewable energy production to the grid, benefits significantly from the increased collection and data utilization created by digitization.
