Catalogación de la Biblioteca de Enric Miralles y Benedetta Tagliabue
Abstract
Private libraries embody the intellectual interests of their owners. Such is the case with the private library of Enric Miralles and Benedetta Tagliabue. Built up during the architects’ academic training and throughout the professional trajectory of the EMBT office, this library transcends bibliographic accumulation to become an intellectual device. The working method of EMBT flourishes in close collaboration between architecture and other arts, with literature always playing a significant role. This article forms part of an ongoing research project focused on the EMBT library, within the broader process of archival cataloguing currently underway. The aim of this work is to reconstruct the history of the library’s formation, to examine the relationship between literature and architecture, and to develop a digital cataloguing system that will facilitate access for researchers through the Enric Miralles Foundation.
