Abstract
The project Redefining Multilateralism through Relationality: China’s Diplomacy in the United Nations examines the expanding role of China within the United Nations (UN) and assesses its implications for the evolution of contemporary multilateralism. It investigates how China’s relational approach to diplomacy-prioritizing trust, reciprocity, and sustained interaction over formalized rules and universal norms-reshapes the institutional logic, practices, and governance dynamics of the UN system.
