Homero y Apolodoro a través de la traducción cooperativa. Una propuesta didáctica para Griego II
Abstract
The present article offers a didactic sequence based on cooperative methodologies to work the translation of original and adapted Ancient Greek texts aimed at Greek II students (sixth form students for Commonwealth countries). The theme of all the extracts we propose revolves around Homer’s and Apollodorus’ fantastic mythological creatures, getting to know thus the occidental artistic and cultural imaginary of vast influence on art and mass products which students are very acquainted with, such as videogames or blockbusters. Consequently, methodological strategies of cooperative-collaborative learning will be implemented on the traditionally lonely work of translation, resulting therefore in inter pares learning and working, the increase of students’ engagement with the subject and the translation competence improvement.
