Abstract

REFLECTIVE MEMO:With its sheer complexity of detail, reputable purposes to bolster a student's education and bustling atmosphere, I knew that I wanted to write my profile essay on the Robert E. Kennedy Library.Throughout my process of interviewing librarians, facilities staff, and users of the library, I was able to compile an extensive list of primary resources to aid me in my writing. However, this complexity of detail also led to a sense of indecision for what I should focus my writing on, as there was simply so much I could talk about to the extent that I had to cut some of the material that I had written down.Ultimately, although it was difficult for me to articulate the plethora of ideas I had collected about the library into a four to six page essay, I thought I had done a well-rounded job in integrating these ideas to give a fuller picture of what the library stands for (as often times libraries tend to be subject to bland descriptions).
