Interview Question Guide for Qualitative Research on Childfreeness
Abstract
This project contains a broad and exploratory interview question guide developed for qualitative research on childfreeness. The guide is intended as a flexible framework rather than a fixed interview protocol. Not all questions are expected to be used in every study or interview; individual studies may focus on selected thematic areas only, depending on their specific research aims and design. The interview guide is intended for use with individuals across diverse relationship configurations and gender and sexual identities, including single participants, couples, and LGBTQ+ individuals. Selected questions may be adapted to reflect participants’ relational and identity contexts. The guide covers multiple thematic domains relevant to childfreeness, including decision-making processes, social and cultural contexts, identity, relationships, well-being, and future perspectives. This repository includes both a full version and a condensed version of the interview question guide. No empirical data (e.g., transcripts, audio recordings, or identifiable information) are included.
