To Fight the Battle, To Win the War
Abstract
When I decided to write an analytical essay, I knew I wanted to break the mold of simply drawing out the three rhetorical appeals in classic 5-paragraph essay fashion. My professor in English 134 gave me a chance to use my voice in writing more than I ever had the freedom to do in high school, so I was able to choose a topic that I am deeply passionate about.I know that abortion rights is an extremely divisive issue in our society (in fact, I am heartbreakingly aware of it); thus, I wanted to present my views in a more concrete way.Thankfully, Barbara Kruger did most of the work with her brilliant pieces, so all I had to do was provide my analysis. No matter who you are-regardless of gender, political affiliation, religiosity, etc.-I hope you are able to read this essay with an open mind and reflect upon these important issues.
