Abstract

Objective: This study identifies the factors affecting the organizational climate of employees at the "Xar:Yo" Flower Company, located in the Tabacundo Sector, during 2023. Methodology: A quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional study with a descriptive scope was conducted. Data was collected using a survey of 100 employees. The instrument used was the one proposed by Koys and DeCottis (0.91, equivalent to high reliability – according to Cronbach's Alpha), which has eight dimensions: autonomy, cohesion, trust, pressure, support, recognition, equity, and innovation. Results: The research revealed that of the eight dimensions included in the instrument, autonomy and pressure yielded acceptable results. However, the company should improve cohesion, support, trust, and innovation to revitalize its work climate and, consequently, enhance its competitiveness. Discussion: It is argued that the work environment is a strategic dimension for organizational competitiveness, as it stems from employees' perceptions of a set of criteria that, when well-managed, positively impact commitment, motivation, communication, cohesion, and, in general, the company's competitiveness. Conclusion: To improve the organizational climate, it is necessary to implement incentives and recognition for performance, improvements, teamwork support, and trust, among other things. Contribution: This helps the company align its strategies to improve in areas of weakness and strengthen them to achieve success in meeting its objectives.
