Design of a Bridge on the D3 over the Mastník Valley
Abstract
The bridge structure in question is located outside the built-up area, between the villages of Křenovice and Bučovice. The design of the bridge structure was based on the need to carry the planned D3 motorway across the local valley. Three variants of possible bridging were prepared, from which variant number three was selected. It is a box girder with perpendicular walls, constructed using a combination of cantilever casting and fixed formwork methods. The static scheme of the bridge is a continuous girder with four spans. The total length of the supporting structure is 283 m. The supporting structure was gradually assessed for its serviceability limit state and ultimate limit state. For the analysis and to obtain internal forces and stresses, 3D models were created in Midas Civil NX and SCIA Engineer. The assessments were performed in the longitudinal and transverse directions and, thanks to the time-dependent analysis, also in time. Finally, drawings were created in AutoCAD and visualizations were produced using SketchUP for the 3D model and Lumion for the visualization itself.
