Longitudinal Associations Among Adversity, Prosocial Behavior, and Internalizing Symptoms During Youth Development
Abstract
This study aims to identify demographic factors that influence prosocial behavior in youth, ages 9-17, leveraging data from the ABCD Study 6.0 Data Release. Specifically, we will examine the relationships between sociodemographic variables and the Strength and Difficulties Questionnaires (SDQ-Youth), prosocial behavior subscale. Additionally, we will examine the moderating effects of prosocial behavior and age on the relationship between youth-reported trauma (Adverse Life Events questionnaire) and internalizing symptoms (Brief Problem Monitor).
