Abstract

This scoping review aims to map and synthesize how voice diaries, spoken, longitudinal self-reports, are analyzed using computational methods to identify potential digital biomarkers in health and mental-health contexts. Following the PRISMA-ScR guideline, we will systematically search seven databases (PubMed, Scopus, IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library, APA PsycInfo, Web of Science, and ClinicalTrials.gov). Eligible studies involve human participants providing intentional spoken diary entries analyzed through acoustic, linguistic, or machine-learning methods. Findings will characterize application domains, methodological trends, and translational gaps. This review will involve only published studies and does not require IRB approval.
