Abstract

In this systematic review, we explore a rare, yet underexplored condition in unilateral pulmonary edema (UPE), specifically in the postoperative period following mitral valve surgery (MVS). We explore the perioperative risk factors associated with UPE post-MVS, in an effort to develop improved diagnostic and management protocols for this entity.
