Rendición de cuentas de los programas sociales en México, 2018-2024: presupuestos, cobertura y fiscalización

This article examines social programs (2018-2024) through an accountability lens: trends in total, social development and social protection spending; household and incomeventile coverage; and audits (unexplained amounts and Superior Audit Office of the Federation findings). It highlights transparency and control gaps, considering target-population definitions, audit representativeness, and spending consistency. The scope is limited to financial accountability (record-keeping, audit, and control of public expenditure).
