Abstract

This project introduces and defines Önlobtez (Pre-conscious Gradualization), a novel psychological concept describing a structured pre-event preparation process aimed at reducing shock and acute emotional breakdown. The framework explains how gradual, controlled exposure to emotionally challenging information before a potentially traumatic event allows cognitive appraisal and emotional regulation mechanisms to activate in advance. This work is conceptual in nature and aims to contribute to trauma psychology, clinical communication, and anticipatory coping literature.
