The Relationship Between Cognitive Control and Proactive Aggression: Moral Identity as a Boundary Condition
Abstract
Proactive aggression, a common form of antisocial behavior, is associated with significant negative impacts on individuals and society. Cognitive control has been recognized as a significant factor influencing aggressive behavior, but its relationship with proactive aggression remains controversial, possibly due to the boundary effects of moral identity. This study investigated and verified the role of moral identity in the relationship between cognitive control and proactive aggression through two experiments.
