A construção do “Norte Pioneiro” do Paraná sob diferentes olhares: uma historiografia da ocupação à reocupação territorial (séculos XX e XXI)
Abstract
Between the 20th and 21st centuries, the region known as “Pioneer North" of Paraná was the subject of various studies, both academic and non-academic. Based on this, the objective of this article is to conduct a historiographical analysis of the different perspectives or views constructed on the modern (re)occupation of northeastern Paraná. The analysis was organized based on the following framework: 1 – geographical approach of the 1930s and 1950s; 2 – accounts of memoirists; 3 – focus of classical historiography of the 1970s and 1980s; 4 – interpretation of historiography of the early 21st century. The municipalities analyzed were those that developed until the 1930s, i.e., cities such as Bandeirantes, Cornélio Procópio, Assaí, among others, were not included in the analysis. Based on this, we sought to highlight the convergences and ruptures by examining the different paradigms, concepts, and approaches adopted by these works, as well as to offer a general mapping to historiography on what is understood about the colonization of the region analyzed.
