Abstract

This project corresponds to a systematic review conducted as part of a doctoral thesis and intended for publication in a peer-reviewed scientific journal. The review aims to evaluate the effectiveness of digital tools–based interventions for the prevention and reduction of cyberbullying among adolescents aged 12 to 18 years in educational settings. The review will include experimental and quasi-experimental studies assessing interventions delivered through digital technologies such as web-based programs, mobile applications, online platforms, and other ICT-mediated strategies. A comprehensive literature search will be carried out in PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, ERIC, PsycINFO, and CINAHL, including studies published in English or Spanish since 2012. Quantitative outcomes related to cyberbullying perpetration, victimization, and associated behaviors will be analyzed. Risk of bias will be assessed using the Effective Public Health Practice Project (EPHPP) quality assessment tool. Findings will be synthesized narratively, and a meta-analysis will be conducted if the data allow. The results of this review are expected to contribute to the evidence base on digital interventions for cyberbullying prevention and to inform future research and practice.
