Una revisión del amor en la obra de Freud a partir del desamparo originario en consideración a la crítica de Henry, Lévinas y Marion
Abstract
From the secularization of romantic relationships in the 19th and 20th centuries, the dispositif of sexuality and the figure of homo economicus established predom-inant concepts based on desire and the analysis of individual interest to concep-tualize love. In response, certain French phenomenologists of the second half of the 20th century seek to restore the experience of love as an experience of the flesh and ethical responsibility. Michel Henry, Emmanuel Lévinas, and Jean-Luc Marion examine Freud’s work and criticize his psychoanalytic conception of love. This critique articulates a discussion between the phenomenology of the drive, the understanding of eroticism as unfulfilled desire, and the ethical recognition of the face of the other. The article presents the main theses of these three authors, analyzes their objections to Freudian psychoanalysis, and proposes a reinterpreta-tion of love based on the concept of original helplessness (Hilflosigkeit).
